LAS: Spotting from a Bus Stop. Day 2

Las Vegas is such a good place for plane spotting you can do it right on a bus stop. That is what I did on July 11, 2011. Riding a bus I noticed that a landing path was right above my bus trip. So on the way back I just went off the bus and waited on S. Eastern Avenue at E. Sunset Road. I didn’t have to wait for long.

The planes came one after another with me just having to press the release button several times per plane.

The fence also lets you have a view on the airport, though quite afar from there.

Later that day I took another bus along E. Tropicana Avenue when again planes descending to another runway. It was a matter of seconds for me to decide and shoot some more. They came from the north-east where the sky was already getting a bit darkish. I was lucky to see some great ones like Southwest’s Lone Star special livery or Virgin Atlantic’s B747 and even a little Great Lakes Aviation Beech 1900D.

I had to go but planned one more day of plane spotting from other spots.
